A Patsy Cline Tribute Featuring Hanna Cesario will be performing at the Grand Event Center in
Northfield on Saturday, November 14 at 6:00 pm. The group features Mankato musician Hanna Cesario
and a five-piece backing band.
Hanna formed the group as a reprisal of her lead role in A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline- a musical
biography that was staged at the Kato Ballroom in early 2024. After the production finished, ongoing
audience interest in her performance as Patsy compelled Hanna to continue the show by converting it
into a tribute concert. “After we wrapped A Closer Walk, I was contacted to perform again but without
the theater element. Forming the tribute band felt like the natural next step.”
For Hanna, Patsy’s legacy is more than just her music. “I’ve had a lot of fun studying her life and
listening to her recordings. I think what she contributed to the music industry- especially as a woman in
the era which she lived- is really impressive.” She’s also joined by five Mankato area musicians filling
out the band. “Working with the band has been so great. They all offer so much talent to the
performance and really capture the style and energy that Patsy’s music calls for.”
