These scouts were on retreat at Phillippo Scout Camp working on their Ad Altare Dei (Latin for To the Altar of God) religious emblem. They were from six different Troops across the Metro. The retreat was led by members of the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting, including Doug Kleist from Richfield and Pat Reardon and Jimmy Wong from Woodbury.
Scouts were from Faribault, Clearwater, Burnsville, Coon Rapids and Vadnais Heights. All across the metro.
Father Jim Notebaart is the substitute priest in the phot that night. Father Mike Tix was gone.
